Brief Review: One expects something different from Aamir's movies and usually the expections are high. Unfortunately, beyond novelty value for people who have not seen endless Robin Williams flicks there isn't much in the movie. The acting of the kid in the lead role and Aamir Khan is superb and the music videos (yep, the songs have been picturized that way) are a good change from in your face item numbers/shaadi/sagaai/Karva Choth songs. Beyond that he movie is weak. The point about the kid's short comings is hammered in one's head till one feels like jumping out of the Naz8 seat asking for mercy and begging for fast forward. There is a tank full of aansu bahana in the film as well which can be annoying. In fact, after first 15 minutes and barring a few scenes later on there is always someone weeping on the screen.
All in all a well intentioned movie with decent script and dialogues. However, the story has been overcooked and crying is overdone. Besides the novelty value it is an average film. Wait for the video.
