5. Asked a friend who has attended both (Sunnyvale and Fremont).

"Fremont theek hai...i prefer sunnyvale anytime. more fun, colors, activities, music,food etc....Fremont one is lil dull compared to Sunnyvale.."

As such since both are on separate days can attend both :-). But Sunnyvale one needs to be attended for sure. :-)

7. Neelam, I am interested for Fremont Temple holi. But will have to find some convincing review for rest of the family. :-)
Based on above review, I feel only difference is Music. DJ Music at Sunnyvale v/s Dholi at Fremont. I have not seen any other activities ongoing in parallel to color play at Sunnyvale. I am not up for back to back Holi though :-). Weather could become deciding factor as well.

8. I am planning for the chinese new year parade since I have heard great reviews about it from my office. It is not possible for me to attend two events on the same day and so wanted to check who is interested in Fremont Holi celebration. Of course the weather would definately be a deciding factor.

10. Fremont temple holi is dry. No live music, there are 2-3 people playing the dholki. There is no food and you bring your own colors.

19. As per Fremont Temple website, this is schedule for Sunday:

11:00am - 1:00pm Cultural Program
1:00pm - 3:00pm Holi
3:00pm - 5:00pm Cultural Program

SO the Holi playing is from 1pm to 3pm. If we choose Fremont, Will the sleepover kids go home and then have energy to come back to fremont?

23. Other scenario is if we go directly from sleepover, we will reach Fremont temple by 11ish. Get lunch done & it will be time to play rang.
If we go on Sat. kids could be tired for sleepover as soon after holi, it will be time to go temple. So either way same situation for kids :-)

29. We don't mind trying Fremont, but for Sunnyvale definately we are in. Baki, same thing to say "Jahan KV Hai, wahan hum aajayenge".

30. Lets go with Sunnyvale then.

Reasons:
1) Holi is a morning affair as such. Playing holi in afternoon at 1pm-3pm seems very un-holi like.

2) No hassle of buying your own colors in Sunnyvale. They provide the colors (although you have to pay 7$).

3) Music + Thandai in Sunnyvale temple.

4) Lunch for those who want to stay till 1pm.

To beat the crowd and to get good parking we can meet at around 10.30. The crowd is much thinner at start time and we can have fun.

Also an early start allows some of us to finish up early and get ready for pathshala sleepover in evening.
