It has something for everyone. For kids it has a train, carousel, a plane, a fire engine besides the usual play structures. For adults, there is the Los Gatos Creek, Nice beautiful trails, biking (bring your own), Boating in adjacent Vasona Park, and flat land to play.

Here are some photos that I could gather from the web:

During the Spring Picnic, usually everyone brings food for themselves and a little more for 3-4 other people. There is no food coordination except for plates and glasses. This way we ensure that there is plenty of variety of food and everyone gets to taste at least 4-5 different dishes. It has worked nicely in the past for us.

We will have our own volleyball setup with net. Other games that could be played –> frisbee, badminton, cricket, kho-kho, kabaddi, dodge ball, etc.

Please indicate availability for that day here:

  1. Mid April may be better choice given that we have had alternate week of sunshine & rain for last 3-4 weeks. 2004 spring picnic was on April 17 🙂 Some other indoor activity in march ?? ( ICE skating, kutchi idol part 2)

  2. I agree with Bhavini. Mid April seems better.

  3. I prefer April too. It will be more warmer by then. Regarding park and date anything would work for us right now.

  4. April sounds better. Any place is fine with us.

  6. Prefer not on April 15th…There is Mahavir Jayanthi Program @ JCNC.

Also, it is Tax-filing deadline day for pro-crastinators 🙂

How about the Shoreline park @ Mt. View

  7. Mid April is fine for us too as we may not be in town during April 4th & May 1st week.

  8. April sounds good to us 2… First week of April would be good.

  9. Suggestion for park
Ed Levin County Park – Milpitas

Almaden Lake Park – San Jose

  10. Park suggestions –

Shoreline Park (can do fun water activities, might see a snake in the grass if we are lucky!)

Cuesta Park – Mountain View: great biking trails, quite large, close to Chaat Paradise 😉

  11. April 2nd or April end. April 8th won’t work for us.

  12. 1.Cuesta Park has good play structure’s for the kids.
Con – May be crowded if weather is nice.
Pro – Instead of going to chaat paradise, can go to the new Vila –> Los Altos, CA… 🙂

    2. Memorial Park in Cupertino – quite big, water stream and ducks, enough space for the cricket fans.
    3. Almaden Lake Park – Has a Sand Beach

  13. Good suggestion Bhavini. I think the new Vila is huge enough so that we can have our picnic there and may be overnight camping too.

  14. I meant April 1st not 2nd.

  15. Can parks from redwood city be candidates –
Stulsaft Park – 42 acre park with water feature, big slides & kid play area, walking trails. But Water feature operates May – October.

Hoover Park – 10 acre park with kid play area. Again summer pool which will eb close on April 22
