Mediterranean Grill House

We tried  Mediterranean Grill House on Castro Street, Mountain View.It offers very good  food. Their wraps are tasty. We had their falafel wrap with Spinach tortilla. Their falafel balls were very crispy n tasty.  Also in one of their platters they offered rice wrapped in grape leaves. It was something different. Their pita is very fresh. Tahini and yogurt dip was very tasty.  For the first time I saw some spice called Sumak(I think) kept on the table alongwith salt and pepper. It tasted somewhat like hajmola thoda khatta and thoda teekha. Ambience is nothing great but service and staff is very good and friendly.

This one is definitely worth a try.

  1. Sneha, we will definitely give a try.

Recently we went to Falafel bites on Lawrence (near Arques intersection). They have good variety of Vegi options. The food is also pretty good.

  2. This place is actually right across from my office, I really like it.

  3. We went here this weekend. Was decent food. Worth a one time try. Not many veggie options.

  4. They have 6-8 vegg. main entry plus some sides.. We ordered 3 out of them, IMHO that’s better options then some Mediterranean places where one could only order Falafel wrap.

  5. Guess Prashant is still in Mumbai Shiv Sagar or types where they have a menu that resembles a corporate report and runs into 8-9 pages with over 200 vegetarian dishes to select from.

  6. I go very often to Castle Greek for their Falafel Sandwich.

Like a desi mithai shops, the line starts with various kind of Mediterranean sweets ready to be put on your tray. I have tried Baklava. Family guys may avoid weekdays lunch – else they might run into a lot of Cisco employees cribbing about canteen food.
