  1. Can we expect to taste the non fat/reduced fat version in Spring Picnic!
This time we can keep competition for healthy tasty food 🙂

  2. Sneha, can try to get some samplers for sure 🙂
Also if folks are up for the cooking competition then we can continue the trend at spring picnic.

  3. Cooking competition should have some broad categories….. otherwise its too wide a range…..

  4. Sure Minati. We did have broad categories last year and can expand further as well.

  5. So u use the deep Sabudana or did u make it from scaratch

  6. Neelam, This one is from scratch.

  7. We can use this muffin pan for handvo too. I haven’t tried though.

  8. One of my friend suggested Dahi wada in Appe pan..though I have not tried yet

  9. I make Urad daal vadas in Appe pan for Dahi vadas. I add a pinch of soda to the batter. They come out good.

  10. I also make batata vada on non stick pan. I make vadas like pattice & not round. Make the batter little thick & coat on both sides of vadas & shallow fry them. If you eat these vadas with buns (make vada pavs), then one would hardly notice that they are not deep fried.

  11. This is interesting. I’ll try it.

  12. Long ago we had tried baked sabudana wada directly on baking tray with spraying oil on top & bottom. outcome was not that great, middle part seemed dry & raw. Will have to try this one now.

  13. I have made dahi wada in the appe pan, they turned out quite well. Just after removing from the pan ensure u soak them in water for a good time. Else u will feel they are quite dense. I enjoyed it nevertheless.

  14. I tried baked sabudana vada today. It was a super hit. Thank you for sharing!
