Nitul Haria reporting from Fremont.. With the Dandia season going on in full swing things at our end have been very very busy, specially the weekends. So far completed 2 successful dandia events one with Dimple Patel and other my own program at JCNC.
JCNC Dandia was a super hit event, we had a HUGE success. Got tons of positive feedback. With upper limit on nbr of tickets sold by JCNC gave enough room for everyone to play freely and with speakers in Dinning area and rotanda area as well helped kids with strollers away from the actual auditorium.
Next year KV should consider coming to JCNC garba and support the temple.
After this still have 3 more events left and all of them with SEF. So while you guys will be enjoying, chit chatting and playing at SEF I would be sweating 😛
Prashant from Milpitas : Currently staying with my sister Leena. Job hunting is in progress. Am surprised to see so many small companies now and so many of them operating from San Francisco. Python has become popular since I left. Bay Area Job Market is buzzing.
Kunjal Varun Shah from Fremont. My brother in law Nachiket Shah moved to bay area this month. Nachiket is doing his MS in Electrical engineering from Santa Clara university. It’s really great to have family around. I am enjoying the “bhabhi” role.
Successfully completed my one month resolution of giving up Chai for September month. I never felt that I missed anything the whole month.
After a month of nothing having chai my craving for chai has gone down and today morning was hesitant to drink Chai again and I ended up eating Chai Biscuit and drank just a little bit 🙂

Jai Jinendra, this is Parul Shah from Fremont. My experience with this city has been awesome. Totally in love with it. Love Fremont in all the ways right from excellent restaurants, fremont hub, Lake Elizabeth, Fremont Main Library, PAMF,easy accessibility to major stores and services to the scenic mountain view. Yes, there have a couple of bad experience, but it definitely overcomes the other better and good things in this city.
Kudos to Prashant, Nitul and Bhavini for making us feel close to our Kutchhi Community. Keep the good work going….KV Rocks!!!!
In our sweet home 3 people are living and from past 3 days Kavita is cooking 3 different type of food. For Harsh regular food, for her farali food (She is doing navratri and today is last day for her) and for me Ayambil Oli. She is having fun in cooking from last few days. 🙂 From tomorrow onwards 2 regular food and for me Ayambil Oli. Have fun Kavita.
This year we took the GCA ( Gujarat Cultural association ) membership as many of the kutchi families took couple of years ago. The kutchi families went every weekend to Cal State Hayward. Now the garbas are in Washington High school In Fremont and not Hayward. They have three weekends ( Friday and Saturday) of Garba. It is worth buying a membership if u plan to go atleast twice. It is worth the money. I think it is $45 per couple and $15 for additional members for early bird. They also have kite festival and annual picnic free for members. Hope to see more kutchi families to take membership next year so that we can go every weekend for garba rather then just one weekend.
This summer we went to Children’s natural History Museum in Fremont. It is good for upto 4th grade . It is good for 2 to 4 hours. The best thing I liked was that both Neev and Miloni enjoyed it. It is not very expensive .
They also do science events in Fremont Library which are good. They also have science camps for children

WOW. so many folks from Fremont !! Sarla/ Parul – I don’t know you guys. we should meet up sometime. We have been in Fremont from 13 years now and still love it here!!
Latest news from our Gaam is that our small STEM/ Lego Robotics venture Robolinks has taken off very well this school year with over 75 kids enrolled around the Bay Area. Happy to report that many KV kids are part of Robolinks and have enjoyed building Robots and writing programs.
Some of them are going to participate in FLL (First Lego League) competition this fall and we wish them all the Luck!!
As many of you know, my hubby Venkat is passionate (read crazy!) about Robotics and STEM. Last month he has been officially selected to be a Cisco STEM Mentor for underprivileged kids and is now coaching kids of Citizen schools in Robotics as part of community outreach. Proud of him 🙂
As for me, busy with Managing Keya’s school and outside school schedules, driving around, managing Robolinks, and my work. Notice how work comes last 🙂 Happy Dussehra everyone!

Life seemed a little different from the norm today, the day beginning early with a dash of colors ( Rangoli and Zandu ke phoolon ka Haar ) to welcome Dassera, followed by some yummy Masala Milk.
A beautiful puja at the Office to celebrate and then taking staff out to lunch to the Pure Veg Restaurant – Go Chaatzzz .
And how can the celebration be complete without jalebis and fafda.
So Jalebis it was , with fafda and khasta kachori and khandvi and a cup of Masala Chai 🙂
Amongst all this hop/skip/run I also managed to run a red light……par Bhagwan Ram ki Kripa se “photu” nahin nikla. 🙂

Greetings from Bhakti Shah (Visaria). I recently came from Mumbai (India) for my one year MBA Program. I stay in Fremont and I really love this place.
I went to Falguni Phathak Dandiya last weekend and really enjoyed.
My school Program is quite Intense but I love it. Its full of enjoyment and lots learning experience. Following Ruchi Bharani for her recipes and learning new stuff and exploring city.
I have really good time and feel good to be part of Kutchvally.
