Board Games are fun way of spending time with family and friends. It is a great way to help kids get away from TV and IPADS and Cell phones . What is your favorite Board Games? Recently I bought a good board game called Mexican Train which you can play with Dominoes. We have really enjoyed playing it. It would be nice if you can put the age group as well. Other favorite ones of mine are Taboo and Pictionary.

Good post Neelam. I recently bought “Wits and Wagers” Board Games (6+ years). Its a nice educational game for the whole family where you learn about facts while playing. I also bought a game which teaches multiplication to kids. “Say Cheese” (for 5+ years). Sequence, Uno are our favorites of course. BlokUs is also a nice strategy game for (7+ age). Adults will love it too.
Settlers of Catan – Hands down the best board game for adults 🙂
We love Settlers of Catan. Last Christmas we bought Suspend, I liked it. I can spend hours on this game.
We used to play Spy Alley (8+), Monopoly (8+), Game of life (9+), Apples to Apples(12+), Cranium with our friends in past . All of these also have junior versions as well.
I really recommend board game called – ‘Bang!’
Its basically mafia without talking much 😛 but playing with cards ..

Off late we have mostly been playing Settlers of Catan, Monopoly and Dominos (agreed it is not a Board Game :)). Chess and Scarble are the other games that come to mind. Blokus is a fun game as well.

Settlers of Catan.. adults game and 4-6 people can play depending on the size of the board.
Also, Deal & Face10.. its a card game that both kids and adults can play.
Settlers of Catan : too good. Strategic game. ( 4 to 6 players )
Clue : Probability game. Finding the killer. Interesting. (5-6 players )
1. Ticket to Ride (upto 5 players) – Love this board game . Both adults and older kids(10 and above) will enjoy this game.
2. We recently played “King Of Tokyo” and enjoyed it a lot. Took us little time to understand but very interactive and action packed.
3. Clue : Keeps your brain cells really active.
