State quarters

I started collecting these just for fun when the US Mint started issuing these in 1999. Now all the state coins have been released. I managed to collect most, but am missing the following states. If you happen to have any of the state quarters below, I’m ready to buy it at face value or 20% premium ;).

  1. I have collected most of them too. Lost track at some point that which all state I have. Will check over the weekend. Did u also get map board to display them?

    How about stamps? any stamp collectors?

  3. Miloni has a collection of coins. She collects all the ones that look different from the normal (eagle) coins. Her summer break is coming up so maybe arranging her huge collection of quarters will be one of her projects 😉

  4. Kairavi has day off today. So we went thro’ coins I had collected plus our change jar. Now we have all quaters but Arizon, New Jersey, New Mexico, South dekota. I think if we dig more in the jar we might find them. But next time.
    And Leena we have Nebraska, Utah & Wyoming for u.

  6. I started this project after i read this post, didn’t even know that each state had it’s quarter…I am 17 down, 33 to go…

  8. Great. The fever is catching on.
    The US mint will be issuing presidential dollar coins. So far 10 have been released. I have collected George Washington and John Adams till now.

  9. Won’t you want to collect uncirculated coins as these may have great value when kids grow up 🙂

  10. Yes. But I dont mind collecting coins which wont increase in face value. Its fun nevertheless.

    Feeling of being the one among several million people who collect coins as a hobby – PRICELESS 😉

  16. From uvas canyon state park. The parking ticket dispenser gave change back in the form of the new dollar coins.
    Sanjay, let me know if you have extra coins missing from my collection.

    Was just checking my Quarter collection that I had started when I came to the US, but forgot about it over the years….. & I’m missing only the following –

    Michigan
    Florida
    Wisconsin
    Minnesota
    Washington
    Hawaii

    Anybody with extras for the above ?

  18. When you take stamps from post office from machine then return balance change is in coins so you get dollar coins too.

    Major coins needed by me by year published – 2002, 2003 and 2008 except Hawaii. keep up the fun effort..

  20. All vending machines and light rail ticket meters should give back change in quarters (and some in dollar coins).

    BTW – the state quarters were released only 5 states per year starting 1999

    Does anyone have Commemorative Presidential Series Coins – It is a dollar coin – which started from 2007 onwards – releasing 4 each year until 2016 (per the map board:)) I have only one presidential coin – Thomas Jefferson (2007) coin. These are hard to get.

    Have couple of other one dollar coins in my collection also.

    Vijay, where did you manage to get the presidential coin ? Can I buy one of the president coins from you ?
    Among other coins/notes, I have half a dollar coin and a two dollar note.

    I think I have a few doubles for some of the states all you guys are missing. I guess camp site would be ideal to barter the treasures 🙂

  39. I have one State quarters collectors map to give away.
    First one to claim on this thread gets it.

    It is colored, two fold, US map with quarter slot for each state and some additional info.
